The QAS Centre for Sport Performance, Innovation and Knowledge Excellence (SPIKE) conducts and facilitates a wide range of applied research into high performance sport to assist the Queensland Academy of Sport to develop elite Queensland athletes, teams, and coaches. Research support is provided at an institutional level through project, fellowship and scholarship support, with sport science encompassing a wide range of disciplines such as biomechanics, engineering, medicine, nutrition, physiology, physiotherapy, psychology and management.
